Greenbelt Alight Production Premieres at Dance Place
Alight dance theater's "Truth Be Told" premieres on Saturday at D.C. dance hot spot, Dance Place.
Alight dance theater presents the world premiere of "Truth Be Told" on Saturday at Dance Place in Washington, D.C.
It's an original production directed and choreographed by Angella Foster, blending clichés from "Survivor," "Big Brother," "The Bachelorette," and especially "Jersey Shore." The show includes the prima donna hostess, the plotting, the cat-fighting, the inane contrived elimination challenges and—when the multimedia component is finalized—the larger-than-life “confession cam!”
Inspired by the hyper-reality of the public apology — Foster deconstructs secret-keeping and the ritual of public apology through the live-action reality show, a genre which Foster describes as the “morality play of modern life.”
