Greenbelt Crime: Burglaries Reported

Center City:

  • Jan. 12, 12:15 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Southway at Ridge Road. A 20-year-old Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
  • Jan. 12, 12:39 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Rt. 495 at Kenilworth Avenue. A Bowie man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park/Beltway Plaza/Greenbelt Metro/Capitol Office Park:

  • Jan. 13, 12:53 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Electronics were taken.
  • Jan. 13, 1:28 p.m.: Trespassing. 6000 block Greenbelt Road. A 49-year-old Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with Trespassing on Private Property. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.
  • Jan. 14, 1:25 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Jewelry and currency were taken.
  • Jan. 15, 1:06 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Electronics were taken.
  • Jan. 16, 11:01 p.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. Electronics were taken.

  • Jan. 11, 2:50 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Hanover Parkway. A Bowie woman was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. Two other occupants were arrested and charged with Possession of a Fictitious Driver’s License. Both suspects were released on citation pending trial.
  • Jan. 15, 12:10 p.m.: Failure to Obey Lawful Order. 7600 block Hanover Parkway. A Greenbelt man was arrested and charged with Failure to Obey a Lawful Order and Disruption of School Activities. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
