Greenbelt Man Arrested In Armed Robbery
Police arrested Tron Cornelius Scipio and two DC men in armed robbery attempt after a suspect allegedly used a stun gun.

Tron Cornelius Scipio, of Greenbelt, and two DC men were arrested in an armed robbery attempt, according to Anne Arundel County Police, when a Glen Burnie man was attacked with a stun gun.
Scipio, 32, of the 6900 block of Hanover Parkway, was arrested Friday night and charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault and related charges, along with Bernard Vernoa Lathern, 26, of the 1400 block of 18th Place SE in DC, and Malik Kendall Bangbeor, 20, of the 1200 block of 7th Street NW in DC.

Officers responded to the unit block of 1st Avenue in Glen Burnie for a reported robbery, the report said. After speaking with the 21-year-old male victim, detectives learned that he was walking through the backyard of a home on 1st Avenue when three men accosted him, police said.
The victim told police one suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from him, while a second suspect repeatedly deployed a stun gun device on him, police said. The victim was unable to give anything to the suspects and they fled the scene in a tan-colored Dodge SUV with Washington, DC tags, according to police.
An aviation unit, K-9 unit, traffic safety officers and officers from northern and eastern district stations searched for the suspects and located the SUV in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Mountain Road.
Officers stopped the SUV and all three suspects were positively identified, according to police.
