Greenbelt Police Report: Drug Arrest, 3 Burglary Attempts, 1 Burglary and 7 DWIs

The most recent report notes a drug arrest, three burglary attempts, one burglary, two thefts from automobiles, one automobile vandalism and seven charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Center City

June 15:

At 2:03 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Nikhil Singh, 21, of Laurel, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 2:04 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Capitol Drive at Greenbelt Road. Christopher David Singleton, 36, of Catonsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 2:05 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Greenbelt Road. Joshua Stephen Carroll, 22, of College Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 4:39 a.m.: Attempt Burglary. 100 block Centerway.

June 17 at 4:27 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Jacob L. Efande, 52, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

June 14 at 10:49 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Cristobal Adilso Lopez y Lopez, 22, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

June 16:

At 11:41 a.m.: Attempt Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Court.

At 10:32 p.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Rt. 495 at Cherrywood Lane. Alexi Perez Pena, 36, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

At 11:21 p.m.: Attempt Burglary. 9300 block Edmonston Road.

June 17 at 4:34 p.m.: Burglary. 5900 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics were taken.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center

June 17 at 1:28 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Hanover Parkway. Jose A. Mancia Garcia, 33, of Adelphi, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

June 19 at 2:40 a.m.: Drug Arrest. 7300 block Wintergreen Court. Beniam Abate Mulugeta, 21, of New Carrollton, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

Automotive Crime—City Wide

June 17:

Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Door locks were damaged.

Theft from Auto. 7600 block Greenbelt Road. A purse and wallet were taken.

June 19: Theft from Auto. 6000 block Springhill Drive. Danilo Arebalo-Jobel, 20, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with theft under $1000 after taking tools from a vehicle. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
