KIVA, Jazz Jam and Guernsey at the New Deal Saturday

The percussive, acoustic, worldbeat ensemble, KIVA, will play at the Saturday from 8-11 p.m. Their performance will be a benefit for long time New Deal supporter and master drummer, Jaqui MacMillan.

KIVA plays originals, traditionals and covers through its blend of vocal harmonies with acoustic and electric instrumentation that includes electric bass, acoustic guitars, flutes, whistles, percussion drums, cello and mandolin.

Jazz Jam with Greg Meyer will start the music rolling on Saturday with a community jam session from 1-5:30 p.m.

Then Greenbelt regular, “piano man” , will entertain with jazz and blues piano from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
