NASA Goddard Contractor Shares View of Moon Cruising Past Jupiter and Venus

Francis Reddy, a science writer on contract to NASA Goddard, shared his image with Patch of the moon’s cruise past Jupiter and Venus from March 23-27.
As seen from North America, the Moon is about 3 degrees from Jupiter and Venus on the March 25 and 26, respectively, according to Reddy, who works at NASA Goddard's Astrophysics Science Division and who has authored a book that includes information on naked-eye astronomy. Reddy advises sky watchers to look in the hours after sunset.
