Byrd has served as a member of the city council since 2017. He is the council liaison to Green ACES, the environmental sustainability advisory committee. He is also a member of the PGCMA’s Legislative Committee and the city’s alternate member on the MWCOG Transportation Planning Board. Colin is also the second African American ever elected to the Greenbelt City Council, a member of the Urban League and the youngest ever regional director for the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials.
Dr. Marquez Ball

Dr. Ball currently serves as the Director of Institutional Planning and Assessment and Professor of Hermeneutics at Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary. He is also the Washington, DC Bureau Religious Affairs Liaison for the National Action Network. Dr. Ball is young and innovative, yet he understands the importance of learning from seasoned ministers and leaders. He is a member of the 100 Black Men Inc and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Norman Jones
A Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist practicing primarily in Maryland. He's a graduate of Howard University (BS) and the University of Michigan (MA) Dr. Jerenze Campbell Full Time Equity Coach in PGCPS and CEO of SKC Early Education Centers. He is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Pi Upsilon Lambda Chapter and serves on the Board of Directors for the PUL Charitable Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Center City Public Charter Schools.
