Center City

Jan. 7 at 4:35 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Unit block of Crescent Road. Christopher Albert Aversa, 19, of 5703 Tuckerman Street, Riverdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Jan. 8 at 1:08 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Old Calvert Road. Esteban Gomez-Mendez, 31, of 13007 Blairmore Street, Beltsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Jan. 9 at 12:38 a.m.: Drug Arrest. Kenilworth Avenue at Old Calvert Road. Zachary Russell Sachs, 18, and Katherine Emily Sachs, 21, both of 6018 Crestpark Drive, Riverdale, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Both suspects were released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

Jan. 5 at 9:01 a.m.: Vandalism. 8900 Edmonston Road. Several windows were broken with a BB gun.

At 3:56 p.m.: Trespassing. 9200 block Edmonston Road. A non-resident juvenile was petitioned for trespassing on private property. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

Jan. 6 at 2:32 p.m.: Burglary. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics were taken.

At 8:37 p.m.: Vandalism. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Windows were broken.

Jan. 7 at 1:23 a.m.: Disorderly Conduct. 9100 block Edmonston Road. Vance Ridley Alexander, 24, of 9128 Edmonston Terrace, #202, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 1:24 p.m.: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. A rock was thrown through a sliding glass door.

At 3:34 p.m.: Vandalism. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A rock was thrown through a sliding glass door.

Jan. 8 at 6:50 p.m.: Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Drive. A window was broken.

Jan. 9 at 11:09 a.m.: Vandalism. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A window was broken.

Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m.: Vandalism. 6000 block Springhill Drive. A window was broken.

Jan. 12 at 2:30 a.m.: Disorderly Conduct. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. Wilbert Jose Montano, 24, of 9752 52nd Place, College Park, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

At  7:47 a.m.: Burglary. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Electronics were taken.

At 11:40 a.m.: Burglary. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Electronics were taken.

Greenbelt East, Greenway Shopping Center

Jan. 10 at 4:35 p.m.: Strong Armed Robbery. 7800 block Somerset Court. The suspect approached the victim and demanded his property. The suspect is described as a black male, 15-16 years old, 5’10”, and 140 pounds.

Automotive Crime - City Wide

Jan. 5: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. A red 1992 Isuzu Rodeo with MD tags, reported stolen through Prince George's County Police, was recovered. No arrests were made.

Jan. 6: Theft from Auto. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A rear MD tag was taken.

Jan. 7: Theft from Auto. 8000 block Mandan Road. A set of wheels were taken.

Stolen Vehicle. 9100 block Springhill Lane. A white 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with MD tags was taken.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 7300 block Morrison Drive. A gray 2010 Chrysler with VA tags, reported stolen from Virginia, was recovered. No arrests were made.

Vandalism. 6200 block Springhill Drive. Tires were flattened. 1/8        Stolen Vehicle. 7400 block Frankfort Drive. A gold 2000 Nissan Quest with MD tags was taken.

Jan. 9: Theft from Auto. 6000 block Greenbelt Road. Clothing and currency were among the items taken.

Jan. 11: Theft from Auto. 6000 block Greenbelt Road. A car’s side mirrors were taken.

Vandalism. 100 block Westway. A hole was drilled in a gas tank.

Jan. 12: Theft from Auto. 6200 block Springhill Court. Engine parts were taken.

Vandalism. 6200 block Springhill Court. A car window was broken.

Vandalism. 6100 block Breezewood Court. Two vehicles had windows broken.

Vandalism. 6100-6200 block Breezewood Drive. Three vehicles had windows broken.

Vandalism. 5800 block Cherrywood Terrace. Two vehicles had windows broken.
