Greenbelt Police Report Includes Robbery near Greenbelt Metro

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Center City

March 2 at 1:18 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Ji Tae Yoo, 70, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 4 at 8:22 p.m.: Trespassing. Unit block Crescent Road. Ruth Ann White, 53, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property. The suspect was released on citation pending trial.

March 5 at 2:17 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. 6400 block Capitol Drive. Jamaal Naji Henry, 30, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

March 7 at 6:52 p.m.: Recovered Stolen Vehicle. 16 Court Ridge Road. A white 1991 Dodge Caravan with MD tags was taken and later recovered on Route 295 at Route 495. No arrests were made.

March 8 at 1:33 a.m.: DUI/DWI Arrest. Greenbelt Road at Kenilworth Avenue. Lorenzo Darrell Kelley, 48, of Riverdale, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Franklin Park, Beltway Plaza, Greenbelt Metro, Capitol Office Park

March 2 at 1:01 a.m.: Burglary. 6100 block Springhill Terrace. Currency was taken.

At 2:19 p.m.: Attempted Burglary. 6200 block Breezewood Court.

At 11:52 p.m.: Drug Arrest. 6200 block Springhill Court. Earl Jamal Hendrick, 24, of Hyattsville and Dwight Lawrence Sumpter, 26, of Greenbelt, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges. Both suspects were released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

March 6 at 1:21 a.m.: Robbery. 5700 block Greenbelt Metro Drive. Jarvis Travis Hardy, 22, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with armed robbery, robbery, and 1st degree assault, among other charges. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

At 8:03 p.m.: Attempted Strong Armed Robbery. 9100 block Springhill Lane. Two suspects approached the victims and demanded money. The suspects fled after struggling with the victims. The suspects are described as black males in their 20’s, 6’0”, wearing black jeans and black coats.

March 3 at 4:16 p.m.: Vandalism. 7700 block Hanover Parkway. A window was broken.

March 5 at 8:25 p.m.: Burglary. 6800 block Landon Court. A television was taken.

March 7 at 6:13 p.m.: Vandalism. 7700 block Greenbelt Road. A window was broken.

Automotive Crime—City Wide

March 2: Theft from Auto. 7100 block Mathew Street. A handicap placard was taken.

March 3: Vandalism. 200 block Lakeside Drive. A window was taken.

March 4: Stolen Vehicle. 100 block Westway. A gold 2003 Mercedes with MD tags was taken.

Theft from Auto. 7400 block Greenbelt Road. A purse was taken.

Stolen Vehicle. 9000 block Breezewood Terrace. A gray Chrysler Town and Country van was taken.

March 5: Theft from Auto. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. A GPS unit was taken.

Theft from Auto. 100 block Westway. A stereo faceplate was taken.

Vandalism. 5800 block Cherrywood Lane. A window was broken.

March 6: Stolen Vehicle. 6200 block Springhill Court. A silver 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with MD tags was taken.

Theft from Auto. 9100 block Edmonston Road. A cellphone and currency were taken.
