Prince George's County Schools 2015-16 Calendar

The first day of school in Prince George’s County is Monday, Aug. 25, so parents just have a few weeks to get organized.

Here’s a look at key dates for the 2015-16 school year:

Aug. 25: Schools open for all grades

Sept. 7: Labor Day (system-wide holiday)

Sept. 14: Rosh Hashanah (system-wide holiday)

Oct. 2: Professional development day, no school for students

Oct. 16: MESA convention day, no school for students and teachers

Oct. 30: Two-hour early dismissal

Nov. 2: Grading/planning, no school for students

Nov. 11: Parent/Teacher conferences, no school for students

Nov. 25-27: Thanksgiving (system-wide holiday)

Dec. 9: Two-hour early dismissal

Dec. 23 - Jan. 1: Winter break (system-wide holiday)

Jan. 18: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (system-wide holiday)

Jan. 22: Grading/planning, no school for students

Feb. 12: Professional development day, no school for students

Feb. 15: Presidents’ Day (system-wide holiday)

March 24: Grading/planning, no school for students

Mar. 25-28: Easter holiday, no school

March 29-April 4: Spring break

Apr 26: Primary election day, no school

May 30: Memorial Day holiday, no school

June 13: Two-hour early dismissal

June 14: Last day of school for students

June 15-17 and 20: Inclement weather make-up days
