School Ends Friday, Greenbelt Camps Begin June 18

With the last bell for the 2011-2012 school year about to sound, the Greenbelt Recreation Department is preparing for a kaleidoscope of summer camps.

The last day of school for students in Prince George's County Public Schools is Friday. Then—at least from many a students perspective—10 glorious weeks and 3 long days later, the school bell will ring in a new school year on Monday, August 20.

With school's end around the corner, and the official start of summer not far behind that, it's a good time to consider some of Greenbelt Recreation Department's summer camp offerings.

Most of the camps offer four separate sessions with start dates throughout the summer. The first session for many of the camps begins on June 18. But not all camps follow this pattern, see the department's camps brochure to find out further dates and details for the camp that interests you.
