The Greenbelt Farmers market expects watermelon and okra from Pat Hochmuth Farm Sunday.
It also is hosting a live cooking demonstration by local chef Rita Calvert, "The Grassfed Gourmet" at 11 a.m.
Rita will be preparing grilled steak or pork chops with smoked tomato charred corn salsa. And market-goers can taste a sample of the results.
The market also invites you to take part in Buy Local Week—and to join the buy local challenge by eating at least one local food every day for a week. Market-goers can get started with market food and wines. "Yes, wine counts," the market says.
