Coronavirus Reported In 11 Harford County Nursing Homes

Nursing homes in Harford County and the Harford County Detention Center have reported cases of the coronavirus.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — More than 200 people in Harford County have died from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, as of Thursday, Jan. 28. The Maryland Department of Health reported Thursday that 11,127 cases of the virus have also been confirmed in Harford County.

Among the areas hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic have been nursing homes.

Harford County nursing homes have had 381 resident cases and 241 staff cases of the virus, according to data released this week. In Harford, 55 nursing home residents have died from COVID-19, according to state health data.
