40 Stranded On Sand Island: Susquehanna Hose Company
A water rescue call Saturday night drew the Susquehanna Hose Company to Sand Island.

Crews from Havre de Grace said they were called to rescue 40 people from Sand Island Saturday night in the Chesapeake Bay.
After 11 p.m., the Susquehanna Hose Company reported its personnel were working with area first responders to get the 40 people whose boat had gotten stuck in shallow water.
Nobody among those stranded was injured, officials said.
