Army-Navy Ball Run: Where And When To See It In Harford County

There were delays along US 1, US 40 in Harford County Friday afternoon, the Harford County Sheriff's Office advises.

The Army-Navy football game is starting at 3 p.m. in Philadelphia. Before the rivals square off, the Army runs its game ball from West Point, New York, and the Navy midshipmen run their ball from Annapolis. The Naval Academy started the practice in 1981.

"Sometime after 2 p.m., look for the runners along Pulaski Highway," the Harford County Sheriff's Office advised Friday. "They will then travel to and along Route 1 until they exit the county."

Officials asked drivers to give the runners plenty of extra space. If sharing the road with the runners, motorists should slow down and go around them with care.
