Someone stole the bell from Havre de Grace High School on Congress Avenue, officials say.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A fixture from the Congress Avenue campus of Havre de Grace High School has been removed, according to officials.

The old bell outside the building was stolen, Havre de Grace High School administrators posted on Facebook Friday.

"ATTENTION HAVRE DE GRACE: Someone has decided to help themselves to the Historic Bell from 1955 outside of 700 Congress Ave. This bell was a piece of our collective history that was planned for the entrance to our school along with 'Enter to Learn, Leave To Serve' and the Bell from 1896," the post said. "If you have any Information regarding the whereabouts of our history, Please contact us or Havre de Grace Police Department! We just want our bell back!"

The new Havre de Grace Middle/High school campus, where the bell was reportedly going to be placed, is off Lewis Lane.
