Cecil College receives GEER Funds
Funding will support workforce development and training.

NORTH EAST, Md. – Cecil College is the recipient of a $250,000 grant from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund intended to support students working toward credentials to assist them in returning to the workforce.
This GEER funding is a portion of the $10 million provided by Governor Larry Hogan to Maryland’s community colleges providing workforce development courses and continuing professional education that lead to government or industry-required certification or licensure, especially to those who lost jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
