Coastal Flood Advisory Canceled In Havre de Grace
Officials had called for 1 foot of water coming onshore during high tide in Havre de Grace Sunday.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A coastal flood advisory for Havre de Grace has been canceled. It was originally to remain in effect until 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, according to the National Weather Service.
During a coastal flood advisory, winds and tides combine to flood low areas along the shore.
The tides may be 2 to 2.5 feet above normal, according to the advisory, which said that at 4.5 feet, parts of the Havre de Grace Yacht Basin and Hutchins Park flood. Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground was possible Sunday, the advisory said.

On Sunday morning, the National Weather Service reported it had canceled all posted alerts except for a few: a coastal flood warning was in effect for St. Mary's County until 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13; a coastal flood advisory was in effect for Baltimore until 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14; and a coastal flood advisory for Anne Arundel County was effective until 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14.
High tide in Havre de Grace will be at 10:24 a.m. and 10:37 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.

The high is 65 degrees and the low is about 50 in Havre de Grace Sunday, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service. There's a 20 percent chance of rain Sunday night.
The forecast for Columbus Day calls for a high of 70 degrees and a low of 45 in Havre de Grace.
