Concord Point Lighthouse Partial Reopening: 'Masks Are A Must'
The reopening of the Concord Point Lighthouse will include the gift shop and museum.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Concord Point Lighthouse has announced its opening date for the 2020 season. Traditionally the iconic structure has been open for tours in April. However, Marylanders were under a stay-at-home order during that time.
Now with restrictions easing as the state is in its stage two of reopening, the Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse provided a new date for visitors.
The Keepers House Museum and Gift Shop will open on weekends starting Saturday, July 11.

"Masks are a must," officials said, for people who want to go inside the museum and gift shop.
"At this time the lighthouse tower is not open to visitors but the surrounding park is," the Friends of the Concord Point Lighthouse said in a statement this week.

Because of the coronavirus, people are encouraged to maintain more than 6 feet between one another and to avoid high-touch surfaces, or to wash hands afterward.
The lighthouse is somewhat close quarters inside and has a railing. It is not clear when the interior may reopen.
Built in 1827, Concord Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest continuously operating lighthouses in the United States.
The Keepers House Museum and Gift Shop will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday starting July 11 at 700 Concord Street in Havre de Grace.
