Darlington Independence Day Parade, Fireworks: 2019 Guide

The Darlington Independence Day Parade will be held Saturday, June 29.

DARLINGTON, MD — The Darlington Independence Day Parade is happening five days before the Fourth of July. Despite the threat of storms, the annual affair is slated to take place Saturday, June 29.

Harford County and more than a dozen counties in Maryland are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 7 p.m.

"We're watching the weather! Think we're going to give the parade a shot!" organizers said.

The parade will start at 5:30 p.m., and sign ups for those who want to be in it will begin at 4 p.m. at the Darlington Volunteer Company at 2600 Castleton Road.

Family-friendly games and fireworks will round out the event, which is hosted by the Darlington Lions Club and the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company.

From 5:30 to 9:45 p.m., games like three-legged races, water balloon toss, corn hole, potato sack races and others will be going on.

Fireworks will start at approximately 9:15 p.m.

The Darlington Independence Day festivities will be from 5:30 to 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. Traditionally, fireworks are viewed from Francis Silver Park, 2124 Shuresville Road.

When: 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 6. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
The Maryland Military Band will play patriotic music in the park.

What: Amish Outlaws Fireworks Concert
Where: Hutchins Park, 100 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace
When: 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 6. Music starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
