MARYLAND BOATING SAFETY COURSE
Sat., February 6, 2021 - Sun., February 7, 2021
Looking for something to do to combat the winter doldrums?
Sailing is a great excuse to get out of the house during the winter months and an activity that's low-risk in terms of contact with others in the era of COVID-19. (Who knew we'd still be dealing with this virus, right?) Before going out on the water, it's important to know the basics...
Perhaps you've recently acquired a boat, or perhaps you have access to a friend's boat - either way, you probably know that you need a Certificate of Boating Safety Education, issued by the Maryland Dept. of Natural Resources.
It's simple - just register, then login with the link provided to get access to a total of nine hours of live instruction time with fully licensed members of the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The course is followed by a test to be taken at your convenience - then you'll be awarded your certificate and will be ready to set sail! (There is no minimum age requirement to take this course, and you do not have to be a resident of Maryland to take this course.)
