Flash Flood Watch Issued For Most Of Maryland
Rounds of rain could lead to flash flooding in Maryland, according to the National Weather Service.

MARYLAND — A flash flood watch has been issued for much of Maryland, effective until Saturday morning. A flash flood watch means that there is the potential for flash flooding, which can be life-threatening.
Heavy rain in a short time can lead to flash flooding, or a rapid rise in water level.
Rounds of heavy to moderate rain are possible in the areas under the flash flood watch, the National Weather Service advised. Because the soil is already saturated from recent rainfall, weather officials said flash flooding may occur.

During a flash flood, roads and poorly drained areas can quickly become inundated. Streams and creeks could leave their banks, flooding nearby properties. Residents should monitor the forecast and be prepared to take action if a flash flood warning is issued, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast shows rain is likely Friday before skies clear up on Saturday and Sunday.
Highs will be in the mid 80s, with temperatures dropping to the mid 70s at night.
