Frederick E. Warden Sr., 93, Of Havre de Grace

Frederick E. Warden Sr., of Havre de Grace, passed away on Sept. 23. He was 93.
Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Robert Clifton Warden and Grace Ann Wessel Warden, he was the devoted husband of 50 years to Clara M. Warden, loving father of Teresa Scott, Tammy Stoneberg, Nadine Burns, Frederick E. Warden Jr. and the late James Whitehead. He is survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one grandchild and all his siblings.
Serving in the U.S. Navy and then the U.S. Army, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47 and VFW Post 8126 who enjoyed woodworking; building boats and showcases for boats; eating steamed crabs; and telling stories of his past.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at Angel Hill Cemetery on Ohio Street in Havre de Grace. Pastor Ron Smith was the officiant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Legion Post 47, 501 St. John Street, Havre de Grace, MD, 21078.
