Havre de Grace 2019 Memorial Day Events
The city of Havre de Grace will honor fallen service members with two Memorial Day ceremonies.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Those looking to show gratitude to service members died defending our country have several opportunities in Havre de Grace this year. The city will continue its tradition of hosting two separate events on Memorial Day to honor the fallen.
Memorial Day originated in the years following the Civil War and became a federal holiday in 1971.
There will be two ceremonies open to the public in Havre de Grace on Memorial Day:

- 9 a.m. at Angel Hill Cemetery
- 11 a.m. at Tydings Park
City Hall will be closed in observance of the holiday on Monday, May 27.
