Havre de Grace Burns Weekend Celebrates Food, Poetry, Scotch
A celebration of the Scottish Poet, and Scottish Whiskey is planned for Jan. 23 to 25.

Havre de Grace is celebrating the Scottish poet Robert Burns with a weekend full of events. The traditional Burns celebration is a single night of Scottish food, poetry, frivolity and Scotch. Havre de Grace has added so much more!
The weekend starts on Thursday, Jan 23, with a Whiskey Tasting at the State Theater, Washington St. (7:30 PM, tix on Event Brite).
It continues on Friday, Jan 24, with a Pub Crawl and Rogue Swan Show at the State Theater. (tix on Event Brite)

On Saturday Jan 25, the Cultural Center at the Opera House will present Robert Burns, Legend and Legacy. Robert F. Lackey explores Robert Burns the man, the poet, and why he matters so much, even today, to Scots and people worldwide. Also, a film presentation of “To the Haggis”, and Burns’ poems set to music, including a sing-along with The Esme Trio. The event is free at the Cultural Center at the Opera House, from 12-2pm.
The traditional cocktails and dinners will be held on Saturday night. If you are interested, please check the Facebook page "Burns Night Support Weekend" for an invitation. Regardless, you will hear the bagpipers through the downtown!
