Havre de Grace Candlelight Tour Includes 13 Stops

The 47th annual Candlelight Tour in Havre de Grace highlights homes, inns and the State Theater.

The Candlelight Tour is a annual event, showcasing the historic buildings of Havre de Grace. This years tour includes 13 stops, including 5 homes that range from 1850 to 1930s, and 2 Inns, one of which has a link to the Underground Railroad. The Tour also includes the State Theater, which opened in 1912, and is now being renovated to be a event space for movies, theater and music. The Theater renovations are still in process, giving a unique view of the before and after, as the details of the original theater are repainted and illuminated. The tour is self paced. Pick up your ticket, brochure and map that identified the stops, and proceed at you own pace, in any order. Before or after the tour, shop downtown, where many of the shops and restaurants have special deals for tour goers.

The tour is a magical experience, with the stops lit by luminaries, and carolers outside. Union Ave is lit with Luminaries from downtown to Tydings Park, which is also a magical picture. It is wonderful to see the tourgoers walking from house to house, smiling and sharing the holiday spirit.

The Tour is Saturday, Dec 14th, from 4 to 8PM. Tickets are $22 prior to the event, $3o day of. Tickets can be purchased at the Havre de Grace Visitors Center, or Online at ExploreHavredeGrace.com. Tickets can be purchased day of at the Lock House Museum, 817 Conesteo St, HDG. Advance purchase is strongly recommended as this event tends to sell out. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Lock House Museum.
