Havre de Grace Library Reopens After Closure Since 2020

The library on Union Avenue is reopening, as are all Harford County Public Library branches.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace branch of the Harford County Public Library is reopening Monday. It has been closed since 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To enter, people must wear masks covering both nose and mouth.

Guests should stay 6 feet apart and limit visits to 60 minutes, according to the Harford County Public Library.

Contactless pickup of reserved material will still be available at the front door, and contactless printing is also available. Drive-through services are offered at Abingdon, Bel Air, Edgewood and Jarrettsville branches.

The Havre de Grace, Darlington, Fallston and Whiteford libraries reopened Monday, March 22.

The Aberdeen, Bel Air and Norrisville branches reopened March 8.

Abingdon, Edgewood, Jarrettsville and Joppa branches reopened March 15.

Hours at all branches are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

"Now is a great time to return your checked-out library materials so we can get best-sellers and other materials out to the Harford County community," according to the Harford County Public Library reopening announcement posted on social media. "There are no overdue fines at this time. Thank you again for your amazing support and patience over this past year. We are so glad to see you!"

In addition, officials said library cards have been extended through June 30, 2021.
