Roads in Havre de Grace were treacherous on Wednesday during the snowfall. Check conditions and see what your neighbors were up to.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Several inches of snow poured down on Havre de Grace Wednesday, blanketing the city and coating area roads. Public safety personnel were out in force, ensuring roads were cleared and responding to crashes.

On Thursday, officials say roads may be slick, and drivers should watch for ice since temps overnight dropped below freezing.

In Aberdeen, police reported that most roads were wet but crews had "not seen any major issues" as of 7 a.m. Thursday.

During the height of the snowstorm on Wednesday, the Havre de Grace Police Department asked people not to travel, which was hazardous in some areas.

Police said that several vehicles ran off the roads in Havre de Grace Wednesday due to icy conditions.

This crash happened midday Wednesday at the intersection of Chapel Road and Bulle Rock Parkway, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company:

The Havre de Grace Police Department thanked the Susquehanna Hose Company, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and Havre de Grace Department of Public Works for "serving the community no matter what the conditions."

In addition to public works crews and first responders, good Samaritans were also out. A woman who lives on Deaver Street that her neighbor cleared the driveway and shoveled the street for her and her neighbors.

  • Perryman 5.8 inches at 4:13 p.m.
  • Abingdon 4.6 inches at 1:15 p.m.
