Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Maryland
Hail, damaging wind and an isolated tornado are possible on Tuesday in Maryland, according to the National Weather Service.
MARYLAND — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Maryland. Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, particularly in the northern and central parts of the state.
Between 2 and 11 p.m. is when the storms are most likely to hit on Tuesday, May 28, according to the National Weather Service.
While many areas will remain dry, any storm that does develop has the capacity to become severe, weather officials said.

At greatest risk is northern Maryland, where parts of Harford and Cecil counties are in an area of enhanced threat.

The potential for isolated severe thunderstorms will resurface Wednesday afternoon and evening, according to weather officials.
The greatest risk of severe scattered storms on Wednesday is from Interstate 66 and US 50 north to the Pennsylvania state line, weather officials said.

Here's the full forecast for the rest of the week in the Baltimore metro area, according to the National Weather Service:
Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. High near 89 and low of 71. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m., some of which may be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. High near 89 and low of 71. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89 and low of 66. West wind 5 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80 and low of 64.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and low of 66.
Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 82 and low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
