HdG Community Garden Is Open For Applicants
There are four locations around Havre de Grace where the community gardens are growing.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Calling all gardeners and aspiring green thumbs! The Havre de Grace Green Team and the city of Havre de Grace are taking applicants for the community gardens.
There are four locations, and growing, now that the community garden program is in its eighth year.
Have you seen them and wanted a plot of your own? Now is the time to get involved.

The gardens are in these areas:
- Market Street — There are two gardens between Congress Avenue and Bourbon Street.
- Seneca Avenue off Revolution Street near the playground and Todd Park Food Forest.
- Old Reservoir off MD 155 behind the Havre de Grace Community Center on Lagaret Lane.
It costs $40 to participate in the Havre de Grace community garden program, which includes a 10-by-10-foot plot, water, mulch and deer fencing. On the application form, specify which garden is your preference.

There are several ways to apply:
- Get the community garden application form online.
- Email hdggreenteam@gmail.com to request an application.
- Pick up an application at City Hall (711 Pennington Ave.) or the Havre de Grace Library (120 North Union Avenue).
