How To Get The Coronavirus Vaccine In Havre de Grace
Here is information about how to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine in Harford County and beyond.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Approximately 17.25 percent of Harford County residents have gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Maryland Department of Health. It reported Monday that nearly 10 percent of Harford County residents have also gotten a second dose.
"Harford’s vaccination rate is close to the state average, but too many of our residents are still scrambling for appointments," County Executive Barry Glassman said in a statement Monday.
"I have requested a mass vaccination site at Ripken Stadium, and I continue to offer resources to the local health department and advocate for more vaccines in Harford County," Glassman said.

The governor said that adding more mass vaccination sites would require more supply.
"The state registration system is also fragmented, which is especially hard on the elderly and those without a computer," Glassman said. "Along with other local leaders, I asked for a one-stop registration process and greater support for local health departments to reach vulnerable populations. Every resident must have access to this lifesaving opportunity."

Those eligible for a vaccine should sign up with the Harford County Health Department and monitor private pharmacies and other providers for available appointments, Glassman said.
"Community volunteers have also started a Facebook page, Harford Citizens Crush COVID-19, to find appointments for those who need help navigating the state system," Glassman said. "In one of our darkest moments, these kind souls are a shining light."
