Hay Bale Fire Closed Interstate 95: Officials
Flaming hay bales reportedly shut down Interstate 95 before the Tydings Bridge.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Interstate 95 was closed to northbound traffic before the Tydings Bridge Wednesday afternoon due to a vehicle fire, according to authorities. The fire broke out before 1 p.m. and was cleared within about an hour, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.
The blaze involved hay bales on a trailer, according to the Susquehanna Hose Company, which reported it had two engines at the scene.

Traffic was getting by on the left shoulder, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported before 1:20 p.m.
By 2 p.m. all lanes had reopened.

Traffic was backed up past the MD 155 exit.
