Lumber Fire Sparks Investigation In Darlington
The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company snuffed out a fire in a parking lot over the weekend.
DARLINGTON, MD — A fire in Darlington caused $500 in damage over the weekend, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Investigators are still working to determine the cause.
Officials said a security officer discovered the 20-by-20-foot pile of lumber was ablaze in the parking lot in the 4900 block of Conowingo Road around 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 2.
The Darlington Volunteer Fire Company sent five firefighters, who spent 10 minutes batting the blaze.
