Mayor William T. Martin Announces The Appointment Of Bridgette Johnson As Director Of Economic Development, Havre De Grace

On Monday, June 21, the Havre de Grace City Council voted to approve the appointment of

Bridgette Johnson as the City’s Director of Economic Development. Johnson was sworn into the position at the same meeting by the Mayor and will officially begin her duties on July 19, 2021.

Bridgette Johnson holds a B.A in Government and International Relations from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s Degree in Community Planning from the University of Maryland. Before that she served in the United States Army. Since entering the field in 2003, Johnson has had a successful career in economic development, holding various senior-level positions in both the government and private sector, including President and CEO of Bridgeline Solutions, LLC.

“I have known and been impressed by Ms. Johnson for a number of years. Her dedication and professionalism are unmatched,” said Mayor William T. Martin. “I am excited for her to join our team and believe she will play an essential role in building a more prosperous and vibrant business community for our city.”
