New Cecil College scholarship supports LGBTQIA+ community
Scholarship supports a Cecil College student who identifies as LGBTQIA+ with preference to a student enrolled in a STEM program of study.

NORTH EAST, Md. – Cecil College is excited to announce the creation of the newest scholarship – The Cecil Pride Scholarship. This scholarship will support a Cecil College student who identifies as LGBTQIA+ with preference to a student enrolled in a STEM program of study.
This scholarship provides a student $1,000 per academic year beginning the fall 2021 semester. The opportunity was made possible through an anonymous donation.

Cecil College continues to assess and develop resources to increase opportunities and reduce barriers for people of color and other minority groups. “Seahawk Pride” is based on mutual respect, where there is no place for hate within the Cecil College community.
To apply, students need to complete the scholarship application from October 1 through April 30 at www.cecil.edu/scholarships. To donate to the scholarship, visit www.cecil.edu/donate, list Cecil Pride Scholarship in the comment section, or mail a check payable to Cecil College Foundation to 1 Seahawk Drive, North East, MD 21901.
