MARYLAND — The Havre de Grace Opera House is the subject of a paranormal investigation that was featured on the little screen Monday night. "The Witching Hour" took viewers inside the history and supernatural side of the opera house.

Created by Argos Paranormal, the episode is part of a series that looks at locations that its producers say "no other paranormal show has ever dared to investigate."

Paranormal investigators take their instruments to locations at 3 a.m., known as the "witching hour," to delve into potential activity.

"The show is also focused on investigating the connection between a location's history and its rumored hauntings," producer Ryan Martinez said in statement to Patch.

Since 1871, the opera house has served as everything from City Hall headquarters to a public school. Now it serves as a cultural center where arts groups can perform and others may meet.

"The Witching Hour" episode that showcases the Havre de Grace Opera House will be re-broadcast at 10 p.m. every Monday in July on Harford Cable Network (Comcast CH 21, Verizon CH 31, Armstrong CH 7), meaning after the premiere Monday night, it will be on July 13, 20 and 27.
