Restaurants Can Expand Into Havre de Grace Parking Spots: Mayor
Dining may look a bit different in downtown Havre de Grace thanks to an executive order.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Restaurants in Havre de Grace are expanding. Thanks to an executive order from the mayor, businesses can expand into city-owned property, including parking spaces.
The city's new outdoor dining policy, which Mayor William Martin signed Thursday, allows restaurants that do not have outdoor seating to extend their operations into parking spots on the side of or in front of their locations. Businesses must incorporate social distancing measures into their plans and use barriers to set off outdoor dining areas from traffic.
City officials were on hand Friday afternoon to monitor the installation of barriers downtown to allow for outdoor dining.
