Weather Alert: Dense Fog Advisory in Effect
Drivers should allow extra distance between vehicles and drive more slowly, as visibility is limited, according to National Weather Service.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 11Â a.m. on Thursday for most of Maryland and parts of Virginia.
Visibility may be less than 100 feet, according to the National Weather Service, which issued the advisory.
Drivers should slow down, use low beams and leave extra distance between themselves and other vehicles.

These areas in Maryland are under the advisory, according to the National Weather Service:
- ALLEGANY
- ANNE ARUNDEL
- BALTIMORE
- CARROLL
- CHARLES
- FREDERICK
- HARFORD
- HOWARD
- PRINCE GEORGE’S
- WASHINGTON
Washington, D.C., and parts of Virginia are also under the dense fog advisory until 10 a.m.
