WXCY Parts Ways With Radio Show Host Jeff Hunt
The WXCY radio show host said the decision was not made by anyone at the local level.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The nighttime voice of WXCY is no longer with the company, he announced this week. Music director and night on-air personality Jeff Hunt reported he no longer works for the country radio station headquartered on Revolution Street.
Hunt broke the news to his fans on his Facebook page.
"Let me make this clear right away: this was not the decision of ANYONE on the local level - please continue to support the amazing staff that remains there," Hunt wrote June 29, which he said was his last day. "They work EXTREMELY hard for you every single day of the week. The unfortunate reality is that the radio industry as a whole is in rough shape because of COVID-19."

He offered thanks to his coworkers and shouted out two people in particular from his time at the station.
"I’ll be forever grateful to Brad Austin and Bob Bloom for taking a chance on me three years ago and giving me room to grow not only as an on-air personality and music director, but as a person,"' Hunt wrote.

Former WXCY host Brad Austin was also ousted in what he called a "company decision" in August 2019, according to Radio Insight, which reported he had been there for six years. He is now the manager for Nashville star Sam Grow.
The departure of both radio show hosts comes less than a year and a half of 103.7 FM, which was owned by Delmarva Broadcasting, being sold to Forever Media.
"To the listeners: THANK YOU for allowing me in to your cars and homes over the past three years.," Hunt said. "You’ve made me feel welcome since day one, and for that, I am grateful and feel very blessed for that. I don’t know what the future holds for me. The uncertainty is scary, and quite frankly, the timing couldn’t be any worse for me. Here’s to the next chapter."
Hunt invited fans to stay in touch with him on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat while he finds his "next home on the dial."
