The York Road barbecue joint is vying in the Restaurant Association of Maryland's 2016 rankings for the coveted title of Favorite Restaurant.

Andy Nelson's Barbecue is one of five restaurants in the running for Favorite Restaurant in 2016. The others are My Thai in Baltimore, Lib's Grill in Perry Hall, Founding Farmers in Potomac and Applebee's statewide.

Winners will be announced at the Restaurant Association of Maryland's Stars of the Industry Awards Gala on May 1.

Andy Nelson's Barbecue is located at 11007 York Road in Cockeysville.
