The Arc Baltimore’s Knoerlein Named to Daily Record’s VIP List
List recognizes professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in Maryland.

The Daily Record has named Christopher Knoerlein, Director of Communications and Grants at The Arc Baltimore, to the 2020 VIP List — Very Important Professionals Successful by 40 awards.
The Daily Record created the VIP List in 2011 to recognize professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in Maryland. Winners, chosen by an outside panel of judges including previous winners and business leaders, were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service, and a commitment to inspiring change.
"This year's VIP List honorees are making a tremendous impact on Maryland. They learned early on that giving back to their communities and lending a hand to others are key components of their success," says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, group publisher of The Daily Record. "The VIP List honorees are the next generation of leaders in Maryland, and The Daily Record is pleased to recognize their impressive accomplishments."

Knoerlein began his career at The Arc Baltimore 15 years ago as a Community Living Coordinator, using his ability to connect with people with disabilities receiving supports from The Arc, as well as their support staff whom he supervised. This experience served him well when he was named Information Systems Administrator, with responsibility for developing the organization’s information database to track services provided and the needs of each person.
“Chris goes above and beyond in his commitment to The Arc Baltimore mission,” says the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, Kathleen McNally Durkin. “Now, as the Director of Communications and Grants, his understanding of the agency and operations has expanded to his knowledge of communications strategies and philanthropy. His creativity is in the forefront of everything he does, and he is always hungry to push to bring more resources to our mission.”
