The Children's Guild to Hold 9th Annual Golf Classic

BALTIMORE—The Children’s Guild’s, a member of the TranZed Alliance, will hold its 9th annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 6, 2016, at the Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley.

The day starts with registration from 7:30 to 9 a.m., practice and continental breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m., and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. with a scramble format. The tournament will be followed by lunch and an awards ceremony at 2 p.m.

Terry Carnes and Paul Hoyer are co-chairing this event, and celebrity golfers will play in the tournament. The presenting sponsor is ConTest, Construction Engineering and Testing Services.

Hayfields Country Club, a championship golf course stretching more than 7,000 yards, has hosted PGA Championship events. With bent grass from tee to green, 68 bunkers and six ponds, the fairways are framed by native grass areas that harken back to the original Timothy Hay cultivated on the farm.

Monies raised will support the creative-learning environments in The Children’s Guild’s school buildings and the enriched-learning opportunities offered to students in its special education schools, programs for children and families and its public charter schools.
