Hunt Valley Symphony Orchestra performs Holiday Spectacular at Mercy High School

A concert of holiday music, dance, special lighting, sing-a-longs, a visit by Santa Claus and other surprises will take place during the Holiday Spectacular at Mercy High School on Saturday, December 12, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 13, at 3 p.m.

The concert will take place in the school’s Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Auditorium, 1300 East Northern Parkway in Baltimore.

The Holiday Spectacular features the Hunt Valley Symphony Orchestra, Hunt Valley Symphony Chorale, Mercy High School Madrigal Singers and the Mercy High School Dance Troupe.

Music at the concert will include traditional holiday classics in addition to Broadway holiday music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra holiday arrangements and excerpts from the Nutcracker. The concert will also include a carol sing-a-long and dance performances.

There will also be a special visit from Santa Claus.

Tickets, available at the door, cost $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Children under 12 are admitted free.

Mercy High School is an independent Catholic college preparatory school for girls in grades 9-12. Located in Baltimore, Mercy offers its students several performing arts opportunities including Dance Troupe, Ensemble Players, an instrumental group, and the Madrigals, a chorale. The Hunt Valley Symphony Orchestra and Chorale are in residence at Mercy High School, where they perform several concerts a year in addition to holding weekly rehearsals.
