Need to Get the Kids Vaccinated? Baltimore County Offers Freebies

Qualifying students can get up to date on their shots for free on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The Baltimore County Department of Health is hosting a free immunization clinic Wednesday to help qualifying kids get ready for school.

To be eligible for free vaccines, students must be under 18 or younger; have no private insurance or no vaccine insurance or qualify for Medical Assistance or M-CHIP; or be Alaskan or American Indian. Children who have private insurance should consult with their health care provider about getting vaccinated, according to the Baltimore County Department of Health.

In addition, the health department will offer walk-in immunization clinics at all of its centers from Thursday, Aug. 21, to Friday, Sept.19.
