Point Breeze Credit Union Begins Accepting Applications for $15,000 in Scholarships
In its ninth year, the program will award ten college, technical school scholarships
Point Breeze Credit Union announces its annual scholarship program and has begun accepting application submissions. The area credit union will award ten high school seniors each with a $1,500 scholarship. Eligible applicants must be planning to attend a full-time accredited two- or four-year college or accredited technical school of their choice in fall 2015.
“This is the ninth year that Point Breeze Credit Union has offered the program, and we’re excited to present this opportunity to local students,” said Genie Briggs, director of marketing. “Attending a higher education institution, while worthy, is a major financial investment, and we hope these scholarships will help students to achieve their education and career goals.”
Students are asked to submit short essays about their educational, finance and career goals. Applications must be accompanied with two references and students need to be a current owner, joint owner or named on a custodial account in good standing with Point Breeze Credit Union to qualify for entry.
