Point Breeze Donation Helps Family Crisis Center

Point Breeze Credit Union has donated $10,000 to support the Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County (FCC).

“The Family Crisis Center’s vision is that every home is safe, families are thriving, and communities are strong,” says FCC Executive/Clinical Director Amie E. Post, MA, LCMFT. “To that end, gifts such as Point Breeze’s enable FCC to prevent and interrupt cycles of violence so that individuals, families, and communities can grow stronger and move boldly into the future. Post continues, “The generous gift from Point Breeze will contribute to our recently expanded mobile advocacy program. Funds specifically will support expanded services that focus on sustained and strategic engagement with individuals and families who are moving out of shelter and into transitional housing or permanent housing.”

Point Breeze Credit Union has a long history of providing financial and volunteer support to a wide range of non-profit organizations throughout the Baltimore area. Last year, Point Breeze donated $85,000 to area non-profits such as the Maryland Food Bank, The Arc Northern Chesapeake, and Arts Every Day, and another $22,500 in scholarships to local high school students.

Now celebrating its 85th year in business, Point Breeze recently opened the redesigned lobby at its Hunt Valley office, which had been undergoing extensive renovations over the past several months. The remodeled lobby represents the first phase of an extensive renovation and expansion project which will double the size of Point Breeze’s Hunt Valley facility, adding a new two-story, 20,000-square-foot addition to the existing 20,000-square-foot building in order to better meet the needs of its members and accommodate the credit union’s rapid membership growth.
