Sing 'n Play Shindig at Children's Chorus of Maryland

Sing Your Way Into the School Year with this Fun, Free Event!

Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music will hold a Sing ‘n Play Shindig for young children on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 from 12 to 2PM in Towson. Parents and young children (approximately 4 and older) can drop in throughout the event to play singing and movement games, make musical instruments from recycled materials, enjoy free food, do arts & crafts, as well as chat to teachers and staff. The event is free and open to public. Donations will be accepted to fund Children’s Chorus of Maryland Scholarship fund.

Children attending the Sing ‘n Play Shindig can participate in fun, play-based sample musical activities with an experienced teacher and children who currently attend the Children’s Chorus Conservatory and Crickets programs. Families who would like to have their child audition for the 2018-2019 Conservatory Program may sign up for an audition time later that afternoon or the following week. Those who sign up for auditions at the Sing ‘n Play Shindig will receive a voucher towards the $25 audition fee. Families will also have the opportunity to register for our fall session of Crickets: Music & Play for 4 to 6 Year Olds, which starts Saturday, September 22nd at either 9 or 10 AM. Engaging the body and the mind in joyful music-making, Crickets gently encourages very young children to explore the voice as their first true instrument through play, games, and movement.

Staff and teachers will be available to answer questions about all of the programs offered at Children’s Chorus of Maryland throughout the Sing ‘n Play Shindig. Visit www.ccmsings.org and click on the Sing ‘n Play Shindig link to register for this free event. RSVP’s are encouraged, but not required. For more information, call Children’s Chorus of Maryland at 410-494-1480 or email ccm@ccmsings.org.
