Thumb Not So Green? Learn Gardening In Cockeysville
The Baltimore County Master Gardeners host free workshops last Sundays through October.

Whether you've got a green thumb or you just can't seem to keep a plant alive, there's probably something for you to learn at an upcoming series of gardening workshops.
Baltimore County Master Gardeners will host a series of free monthly workshops starting this Sunday at the Baltimore County Agriculture Resource Center and Farm Park, 1114 Shawan Road.Â
From 11 a.m.-12 p.m. July 28, learn all about home composting. Topics include different types of composting systems and how to know when to use your compost, according to the group's website.
Three more workshops are planned, always held from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on the last Sunday of the month. The workshops are:Â
Aug. 25: Weed and Pest Identification Walkabout
Sept. 29: Compost Tea
Oct. 27: Winterize Your Garden & Starting a New Bed
