William Shatner Coming to Hunt Valley for 'Extremely Rare' Fan-Con Appearance
The Star Trek legend is one of the high-profile guests headlining the 35th annual Shore Leave fan convention this summer.
Television and science fiction film icon William Shatner will be making an appearance in Hunt Valley this summer, it was announced earlier this week.
The former Captain of the Starship Enterprise will be one of the featured guests at the 35th annual Shore Leave convention, " one of the oldest and largest all-volunteer, all fan-run science fiction and media conventions in the nation," according to a release.
The 3-day event will be held at the Hunt Valley Marriott Hotel between Aug. 2 and 4. Shatner, making what is considered an "extremely rare" fan-convention appearance, will be at the show on Aug. 3.

"Shore Leave is a 3-day festival that celebrates the best in science fiction and fantasy, past and present. Special events include Q&A sessions with guest stars, autograph sessions, “photo ops” with guests, an Art Show and Auction, a huge costume contest, Saturday night dance party, a Friday evening event featuring our writer and scientist guests, weekend-long gaming, charity events, comedic skits, fan panel discussions, special science programming, children’s activities, workshops, video presentations, and so much more," according to a release.
But Shatner isn't the only high-profile science fiction legend coming to Hunt Valley.
