$2.5m Bond Up for Public Hearing
Money will be used on a number of city projects, including some which have already began.

The Hyattsville City Council will hold a public hearing on the issuance of a $2.5 million bond this Monday, Aug. 6, before the regular meeting.Â
At its last meeting on July 23,, which requires two rounds of council approval before it can be adopted. The second vote on the bond issuance is slated for later Monday evening during the regular council session.Â

But those two projects alone don't add up to a $2.5 million bill. According to sources familiar with the deliberations, a large chunk of the money will be used Â
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Hyattsville Municipal Building on Gallatin Street.Â
